Matt Varnish Labels

A matt varnish has very little or no shine to reduce the glare from various inks and materials. The matt varnish is very popular when it comes to Wine Labels.

Useful Information

What is a Varnish?

The Transparent protective varnish is applied when finishing your labels in an attempt to extend the life span of the product. Although it will protect from general wear it is not as strong and robust as the Matt Lamination.

As well as a matt varnish there is a number of different variations to consider to make your label protected and appealing, these include: Gloss Varnish, Satin Varnish, Spot, Varnish, and Raised Varnish

Why use a Varnish?

The varnish will ensure that the artwork will not fade in numerous environments, as well as prevent the artwork from scratches or scuffs too and giving it a longer life. Not only can a varnish be used to protect the label, but it also has various options which can be used during our special processes that make your product stand out against your competitors.

Varnish with Printers

Unlike laminates, varnishes can be used for thermal transfer printing for secondary information. However, the heat of direct thermal printing will make the varnish smell and melt away.
