A matt varnish has very little or no shine to reduce the glare from various inks and materials. The matt varnish is very popular when it comes to Wine Labels.
The transparent protective varnish is applied when Finishing Your Labels in an attempt to extend the life span of your labels. Although it will protect from general wear it is not as strong and robust as the Matt Lamination.
As well as a matt varnish there is a number of different variations to consider to make your label protected and appealing, these include:
- Satin Varnish
The varnish will ensure that the artwork wont fade in numerous environments as well as prevent the artwork from little scratches or scuffs, giving it a longer life.
Not only can a varnish be used to protect the label it also has various options in our Special Processes to give your products an good look edge over others.
Unlike the laminates, varnishes can be used for thermal transfer printing for secondary information added. However, the heat of direct thermal printing will make the varnish smell and melt away.
