Soap Labels

Soap labels are stickers or tags that are affixed to a bar or container of soap. These labels typically provide important information about the soap, such as the ingredients, fragrance, weight, and usage instructions. Soap labels can also include branding information, such as the manufacturer’s logo or name, as well as any certifications or regulatory information.

In some cases, soap labels may also include decorative elements or images that help to convey the product’s scent or purpose. Overall, soap labels serve as a way for manufacturers to communicate important information to customers and differentiate their products from others on the market.

Useful Information

The required information on a soap label may vary depending on the country or region where the soap is being sold. However, here are some common pieces of information that may be required or recommended to include on a soap label:

Product name: The name of the soap, should be descriptive and easy to understand.

Net weight: The weight of the soap, typically measured in ounces or grams.

Ingredients: A list of all the ingredients in the soap, in descending order by weight. This may be required by law, especially if the soap is intended for cosmetic or medicinal use.

Directions for use: Information on how to use the soap, including any special instructions or warnings.

Manufacturer information: The name, address, and contact information of the manufacturer or distributor of the soap.

Batch number: A unique identifier for the batch of soap, which can be helpful for quality control and tracking purposes.

Expiration date: If the soap has a shelf life, the expiration date should be clearly indicated on the label.

In addition to these required pieces of information, soap labels may also include optional information such as:

  • A logo or brand name
  • Fragrance information
  • Certifications (e.g. organic, cruelty-free, etc.)
  • Decorative elements or images.

Labelling Materials for Soap Products

Waterproof Plastic Labels

Waterproof polypropylene labels are a good option for soaps because they offer durability and resistance to moisture and other environmental factors. The waterproof material ensures that the label remains intact and legible, even when exposed to water or other liquids. This is particularly important for soap products that are used in wet environments such as bathrooms or kitchens. The labels can be customised with high-quality images and text, allowing for branding and product information to be displayed clearly

For extra water resistance, we recommend a gloss laminate over the top to ensure that the print is as protected as the label.

Transparent Labels

Transparent plastic labels are a good option for soaps because they offer a clean and elegant finish that can enhance the overall presentation of the product. The transparent material allows the consumer to see the soap’s colour, texture, and design, giving them a better idea of what they are purchasing. Additionally, the labels can be printed with high-quality images and text, allowing for customisation to suit the product’s specific branding needs. The labels are also durable and can withstand exposure to moisture and other environmental factors.

For extra water resistance, we recommend a gloss laminate over the top to ensure that the print is as protected as the label.

Biodegradable Bagasse Cane Fibre Labels

Biodegradable labels are a good option for soap labels because they offer an eco-friendly and sustainable alternative to traditional label materials. Biodegradable labels are made from materials that can decompose naturally, reducing their impact on the environment. They are also non-toxic and free from harmful chemicals, making them safe for use with soap products. The labels can be customized with high-quality images and text, allowing for branding and product information to be displayed clearly.
