Food Packaging Labelling Materials

It is important to make sure that your label is not situated directly near your food product. As this can result in ink or toner contamination.

Semi-Gloss Paper Labels

Semi-gloss labels are a popular choice for food packaging due to their ability to showcase vibrant, high-quality graphics and images that attract customers. They have a smooth, semi-gloss finish that enhances the visual appeal of the label and the product.

We can also have this material custom-made with a freezer adhesive as well as permanent adhesive. Freezer adhesive is a great choice for semi-gloss paper labels because it is specifically designed to maintain its adhesive properties even in freezing temperatures. The adhesive is formulated to remain flexible and durable, preventing the label from becoming brittle or cracking when exposed to sub-zero temperatures. This ensures that the label remains securely attached to the product, even when it is stored in a freezer for extended periods.

A gloss varnish and gloss laminate are excellent options for food and packaging labels due to their ability to provide an extra layer of protection and enhance the label’s visual appeal. The gloss varnish provides a high level of glossiness, creating a luxurious and shiny finish that adds to the product’s premium look. Similarly, a gloss laminate provides a high level of glossiness, but it is thicker and more durable than a gloss varnish, making it a suitable option for products that require more protection.

Waterproof Plastic Labels

Waterproof polypropylene plastic labels are an excellent option for food packaging due to their durability and resistance to moisture, oil, and other substances that may come into contact with the label. This ensures that the label remains legible and intact throughout the product’s lifespan, even when exposed to harsh environments or handling conditions.

You can choose between a gloss or matt varnish or laminate. A Gloss laminate is usually a popular choice for these labels, as it ensures that both the label and the print on top are protected from any substances that may come into contact with the label.

For extra water resistance, we recommend a gloss laminate over the top to ensure that the print is as protected as the label.
