What’s Required?

Spot UV Process

Design the label: Start by creating the label design using software like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. Be sure to create a separate layer for the areas where you want to apply the spot UV coating.

Print the label: Print the label design onto label stock using a digital or flexographic printing process.

Apply the spot UV coating: After printing, the labels move to a separate machine where the spot UV coating is applied. This machine uses a special printing technique that allows the coating to be applied only to the areas designated in the design layer.

Cure the UV coating: The labels then move to a curing station where the UV coating is dried and cured using UV light.

Inspect the labels: After curing, the labels are inspected for quality control to ensure that the spot UV coating has been applied correctly and evenly.

Finish and package the labels: Finally, the labels are finished with any necessary cutting or finishing processes, and then packaged and shipped to the customer.
