Shower Gel & Shampoo Labels

Shampoo labels are the information printed on the packaging of a shampoo product that provides important details about the product, such as the ingredients, directions for use, warnings, and other relevant information.

By reading the shampoo label, consumers can make informed decisions about which shampoo product to choose based on their individual hair types, concerns, and preferences. The information provided on shampoo labels is regulated by government agencies to ensure safety and accuracy.

Label Sizing

The size of the label that goes on a shampoo bottle will depend on the size and shape of the bottle as well as the design of the label itself. Generally, the label should be large enough to display all required information, such as the product name, usage instructions, ingredients, and any regulatory or safety information, while still fitting comfortably on the bottle without being too small or too large.

Here are some common label sizes for shampoo bottles:

  1. 51 x 76mm: This size is commonly used for small shampoo bottles, typically with a capacity of 1-2 ounces.
  2. 54 x 102mm: This size is commonly used for medium-sized shampoo bottles, typically with a capacity of 8-12 ounces.
  3. 76 x 102mm: This size is commonly used for larger shampoo bottles, typically with a capacity of 16-32 ounces.

Labelling Materials for Shampoo and Shower Gel Products

Waterproof Plastic Labels

Waterproof polypropylene labels are a good option for shower gel and shampoo products because they offer durability and resistance to moisture and other environmental factors. The waterproof material ensures that the label remains intact and legible, even when exposed to water or other liquids, which is particularly important for products used in wet environments. The labels can be customised with high-quality images and text, allowing for branding and product information to be displayed clearly.

For extra water resistance, we recommend a gloss laminate over the top to ensure that the print is as protected as the label.

Semi-Gloss Paper Labels

Semi-gloss paper labels are a good option for shower and shampoo products because they offer a professional and visually appealing finish that can enhance the overall presentation of the product. The semi-gloss finish provides a subtle shine that can catch the consumer’s eye and draw attention to the product. The paper material is also ideal for shower and shampoo products because it can withstand exposure to moisture without losing its integrity. Additionally, the labels can be customised to suit the specific needs of the product, such as incorporating branding elements, ingredient information, or other relevant details.

A gloss varnish and gloss laminate are excellent options for shower and shower gel labels due to their ability to provide an extra layer of protection and enhance the label’s visual appeal. The gloss varnish provides a high level of glossiness, creating a luxurious and shiny finish that adds to the product’s premium look. Similarly, a gloss laminate provides a high level of glossiness, but it is thicker and more durable than a gloss varnish, making it a suitable option for products that require more protection.
